What Is Real Wealth?

Srimad Bhagavatam tells that even if one conquers the entire universe one cannot be satisfied or free from anxiety unless one controls one’s own mind and senses. So this is real wealth. True wealth from a realistic spiritual prospective is not what we accumulate – fame, power, wealth, skills, longevity of physical life. All of these things we strive for thinking they will give us happiness.
Real wealth is happiness that is not subjected to the ever changing conditions of this world. Because whoever we are, whatever position we may hold, this world is full of uncertainties – honor, dishonor, pleasure, pain, happiness, distress, health, disease, fame and infamy, the birth and death of love ones. Often times these qualities are out of our control.
Ø  So real happiness is transcendental to all of the changes in this world and we must deal with the things of this world from the prospective of service, rather than from the prospective of being the enjoyer because of the lack of fulfillment inside..

In an evolved human society, people love people and they use things.

But unfortunately, the way the world is today, all too often people love things and they use people to get them.

Thus there is a very large crisis of trust in this world, and it creates so many problems in relationships. When our relationships are based upon values, we can trust each other. We can only be trusted when we are trustworthy—when we are faithful, when we have a higher integrity than what the mind and the senses are always demanding.

As technology is spinning us into higher and higher dimensions, we have to balance that with what is actually required to have quality in life; things alone cannot give us quality life; appreciation and gratitude for natural gifts, for each other, and for God’s grace—that gives quality life. When we use the incredible resources that are available in the world with that spirit, we can be instruments of enormously positive change within the world.

And making that inner connection with the simple essence of life can actually be fulfilled by sincerely chanting God’s names.

Dear Friends,
Vinayaka chaturthi is the festival of love & devotion where members of family a lot ,taking & giving  from and to environment is main motto of the festival ...

To be able to choose the most appropriate ecosensitive solution it is important that we understand the environmental impacts of Ganesh Chaturthi.

These can be summarized to be the following:

  1. The water pollution caused by the immersion of Plaster of Paris idols into natural water bodies.
  2. The water pollution by chemical paints used on these idols.
  3. The waste generated by the non biodegradable accessories used during the worship.
  4. Noise pollution
  5. Traffic congestion
  6. Increased consumerism
  7. Amongst these the first two can be partially resolved by a shift to Eco sensitive materials and practices.
      Possible solutions:

Since the main issue around water pollution has got to do with the idol immersion ritual, several people are now suggesting a slight variation of this ritual to avoid water pollution. These include:

      1. Immersing the idol in a water tank constructed by the government, instead of directly into natural water bodies.
      2. Using only a natural clay idol and immersing it either in the tank or in a bucket of water at home.
      3. Immersing a 'betel nut' which symbolizes the idol and reusing the same idol every year.
      4. If one is using a PoP idol, simply sprinkling a few drops of water on it as a symbolic immersion and donating the idol to be recycled for the following year.

best wishes my dear friends enjoy the day and wishing u a great and lovely vinakya chaturdhi..........

"God is like a power house, an electrical powerhouse. And we are all like different light bulbs. ...

But whatever power we have at any level, it is coming from the ultimate source that current is flowing and every living being in the human form of life has the independent free will to use that energy and channel it according to their desire. We may channel it motivated by greed, lust, envy, anger, pride and illusion; or we may channel that same energy with compassion, with love, with concern for others and with devotion."
